Lemon Loaf of Zesty Crumbiness

Wishing to branch out from what I perceived to be a particular section of baking, perhaps the “Confectionary” section, I baked a lemon loaf.

11th of October, 2011. (Well technically I finished baking and took the photo at about ten past midnight on the 12th but the day doesn’t end until I go to sleep in my books.)
With this loaf I learned the importance of using a sharp knife suited to cutting loaves to… cut loaves.
I used what is practically a serrated butter knife to cut the first piece, and as the photo shows, the loaf crumbled and was generally disagreeable.
It tasted grand, though. Just the right amount of lemon-ness.
My sister was unable to eat much of it due to a dislike of lemon, but she requested that at some point I bake a non-lemon loaf.
