A weekend past

The weekend is over now, and what a weekend it was.

On Friday night I spent the night playing Xbox 360 (namely Colin McRae DiRT) at a work friend’s place in Springbrook. It was a nice place, and I quite enjoyed being so close to the forest. It reminded me of a house I lived in when I was a child (in New Zealand). Both places backed onto a reserve.

So I stayed until about 7 or 8 on Saturday night, then went home.

On Sunday afternoon I went to KFC with another friend of mine from school. We had a very good conversation about things such as Artificial Intellegence (a suitable subject of conversation as he is thinking of going into the field of neurological research and I am looking at behavioral studies).

He gave me a few interesting insights into the way that the human mind works. One example that I found most interesting was the idea that people would give more value in their heads to “98% of 200” than “200.” This sort of thing points out the way in which the human mind is less logical than we give ourselves credit for.

Perhaps I will write something about that later. But at the moment I am at work and as such any elongated essay-writing would be likely to be glimpsed by management and would lead to harsh words being spoken.

So before any of that resolves into actual conflict, which I despise, I will stop.

Good bye,

The Maddened Man
